Description: This banana produces 10 foot long by 2 foot wide leaves. It is a suckering perennial that likes moist soil and full sun and has a very dramatic tropical look in the garden. Mulch heavily in the winter and wrap the false trunks with a cage full of straw or remay (a GH fabric that insulates 8+ degrees). Wrapping the trunks saves them and you get a bigger plant every year. Produces small, inedible fruit.
